Thursday, January 12, 1928 Went up to the Springfield store this morning. Went up and returned on the train. Just like Spring, not a bit of snow on the ground, no ice on the Connecticut River, not even any ice on the canal at Windsor Locks. Most open Winter so far. Home to dinner. Nat Noble at the house with us. Went over to Mr. Charles Bidwell's new house on the Hartford Turnpike to a meeting of the finance committee of Calvary Baptist Church.
