Thursday, January 19, 1928 Again at the Hotel Taft for the Master Painters Convention. Took a large group of our customers down to the Grille Room for luncheon. Session held both morning and afternoon with a banquet and dance in the evening. I attended the dinner of the Boys Scouts Council at the City Mission Building. At the meeting, I was elected President of the Council. Raining hard tonight although it is a warm rain. Doctor Kowalewski of West Haven came to the store and vaccinated our force today on account of the small pox scare. Three or four would not consent to have it done for various reasons.
