Sunday, January 22, 1928 In to Calvary Church to service and church school. Harold Camp preached on the "Sabbath", a fine sermon. Mr. McCartnay of the Elm City Nursery Co. was here today looking over our back lot to give us a landscape plan for it. It is warmer today, clear and beautiful. Have been writing letters this afternoon. Wrote to Aunt Lucy Wetherbee also Cousin Ben Williams who is at home. Wrote to Bessie Fox and Helen Fox Smart, both in Washington D.C. Helen is very sick after an operation for tumors. Drove in to the drama school for Sarah and brought back with her five of the other students. Mother had chicken salad and waffles ready for them. We sat around the fire till midnight then took them back to town. They did so appreciate it.
