Friday, January 27, 1928 Went up to Springfield store today. Harley was to go with me but his vaccination has laid him up with a fever. I went up and returned on the train. Had my dinner down town then went to the office and worked awhile then went down to the Quinnipiac Club to an entertainment, an exhibition by a billiard expert. He was very fine and gave us a good entertainment. Lunch was served after the program. Called for Sarah at the Yale Theatre. She is playing there this week on four one act plays. Four of our store people besides Harley are out on account of their vaccinations.
