Tuesday, July 3, 1928 Beautiful Summer day but very hot. Left home this morning at 9 A.M. to take Sarah to Camp Arden, Brattleboro, Vermont. T.P.H. along also Dorothy Rawson of De Moines, Iowa, who is a student in the Yale Drama School with Sally. We drove the new Packard six and it was a real joy all the way. No trouble at all either way. We went up over the College Highway. Stopped in Westfield and did some errands then on to Northampton and had lunch there at the new Hotel Northampton, which was very lovely. Drove on up through Greenfield, Deerfield, and Brattleboro to Camp Arden. Some of the girls had already arrived and they with Miss Evarts gave Sally a warm welcome. They have made some additions to the camp. A new infirmary, etc. We left Sarah at Arden and went on to Newfane, stopping for the night at Newfane Inn.
