Friday, July 6, 1928 The thunder shower of last evening turned into a steady downpour that continued all night and all day today till evening when the wind switched to the North West, turned cold and cleared off. Had lunch at Quinnipiack Club. Harley drove to Springfield in all the rain. Home tonight. Dorothy Rawson still with us. Carl Ballmann and his wife called on us tonight. We were so glad to see them. Had a letter from Sally today. She is getting settled at Camp Arden (Brattleboro, Vermont) and will no doubt be quite happy there.
