Hot again today. Well above 90 all day. Just 90 at the corner of Church and Chapel Sts. tonight at six o'clock. T.P.H. drove up to Storrs, Conn. and took two of the Calvary Church girls up to the conference. Pretty hot drive. I came home on the trolly and worked in the garden. Hoed corn and beans and weeded the beds. Drove in town later ot take Sarah's letter so that she will get it tomorrow. Had lunch at the Quinnipiack Club followed by a meeting of the Board of Governors. We passed resolutions on the death of Mayor John B. Tower, a former president of the club and board member. The committee to draft them was Carleton H. Stevens, Ed Everit, and myself.
