Friday, July 13, 1928 Had lunch at Quinnipiack Club. Stopped in the church to look after the alterations and repairs. Did not go home to dinner tonight as we had an early meeting of the "Committee of 21" who have in charge the work at the church. We voted tonight to put in a new ventilating system, new lighting fixtures in the auditorium, and new floors and new floor coverings on all rooms downstairs. It was raining hard when the meeting ended so Mr. Bidwell brought me home.
