Tuesday, July 17, 1928 Hot and sunny but clear as a bell and most liveable. Rotary luncheon at Hotel Taft. I had to give a review of the July Rotarian. Paid special attention to an article by Rabbi Louis L. Mann of Chicago, a former member of the New Haven Club entitled "Sceptre or Chains". Home to dinner tonight then drove in to the First Baptist Church to a union prayer meeting of their members and those from Calvary.
