Saturday, July 28, 1928 Rained this morning. Cleared at noon. Came off very hot. Closed at one o'clock. Came home to dinner and worked in the garden all the afternoon weeding and spading. Drove over to Violette's tonight to see Ruth and Howard. They are preparing to sail again for South America. Richmond just reached home from Camp Deven where he had just spent a month working for his commission in the R.O.T.C. He looks fine. The experience did him a lot of good. Sarah leaving Camp Arden tonight to come down to Springfield to visit Muriel Newell Richardson over Sunday. T.P.H. to go up and take her back to camp on Monday.
