Friday, June 1, 1928 Another beautiful day. At the store all day. Spent most of it on the top floor condensing Wall Paper. Bob Kimball, Mrs. Kimball, and Kay called at the store to see me. They are now living at White Plains, N.Y. Bert and Jess Hodges landed in New York from England this morning. Came in on the "Berengaria". Bert called us up on the phone at the store. Home tonight. Worked in the garden till dark. Father and Mother still here. John B. Kirby of Kirby's Jewelry Co. died this morning. He was a veteran Gray and an old friend.
