Saturday, June 9, 1928 Closed store at one o'clock. T.P.H. called for me and we went down to Harley's and took Jess and Bert Hodges down to Norwalk to see Alice and Fred Lockwood. They have just returned from a Winter spent in California. Alice and Fred took us all down to Darlons to dinner. A lovely place and a wonderful dinner. A terrific shower came up that flooded the streets. We came home in the rain and I had my usual puncture to fix in the mud. Delivered Bert and Jess at Harley's at about midnight. Alice Drew Lockwood looks so much better than when she left for California last fall.
