At Springfield, Mass. this morning. Hotel Kimball. Over to the store early and made several calls on our customers with Mr. Page. Had lunch then drove over to the Bryan Hardware Co. dressed a Wall Paper window for them and came on down home, arriving in time for dinner. Sarah came home tonight coming up from New York on the train with Bert Hodges. She and her party came down from New Hampshire by the way of the North Short, thence to Pawtucket, R.I. to the home of Ed Cole (one of the party) then took the boat from there to New York City. I went in to Calvary Church and presented a framed copy of the Scout Oath and Laws to our Troop #5. It has been fearfully hot today. We feel it as it came on so sudden. Hard thunder shower tonight.
