Friday, June 15, 1928 Herbert Clark Hoover of California and present Secretary of Commerce on President Coolidge's cabinet was nominated for president at the National Republican Convention now being held at Kansas City, MO. His selection was overwhelming on the first ballot. He received 837 votes out of 1084 cast. If elected, he will make a wise and honest president and we hope for his election.
