Saturday, June 16, 1928 Another lovely day and I am so glad as this is the day of the Calvary Church School picnic at Lighthouse Point. We met at the church and left of two special trolly cars. We had a wonderful day. Playing games, races, swimming, playing baseball. The men played out boys church team and the boys won 16 to 4. The ladies provided us with our usual fine lunch. Many of our church people came down in the afternoon. We returned at five o'clock without accident and without leaving anyone behind. T.P.H. and Sarah attended Larry Noble's wedding at Christ Church, New Haven. It was a most brilliant affair. Bert and Jess Hodges with us tonight. Bert and I went down to the Spring Glen Carnival.
