Sunday, June 17, 1928 Bert and Jess Hodges here with us. I got up early and went in to church and church school. This is our Promotion Day and last day of the sessions. We had a fine program put on by the Junior Department and other graduating pupils. Home to dinner at home. Grant and Nat Noble, their mother Mrs. Runnells, and their Aunt "Dingdong" called. We took Bert and Jess over to Violette's and we all had supper together and did have such a jolly time. Lota played for us on the piano and did so beautifully. We later took Bert and Jess down to Harley's for the night as Bert wants to get away early in the morning and his things are there.
