Still raining. Mist and fog. This is the day of the Yale-Harvard Regatta at New London. Yale both morning races. The freshman eight oared and the junior varsity eight oared both for two miles. We drove over for the varsity race, leaving New Haven at about four. I've had to drive slowly on account of our new Packard has only gone about four hundred miles. We took Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson (Yale Divinity School) and Dorothy Rawson, Yale Drama School. Stopped at the Chandlers in New London and they piloted us to a spot on the river bank where we could see the course for the last two miles. Yale won by about ten lengths. The worst beating Harvard has had for many years. We went back to the Chandlers for supper then drove home in a heavy mist.
