Tuesday, March 27, 1928 Rotary at noon at the Hotel Taft. Mr. Cromie, our city forester, was the speaker of the day. He started to tell us about our trees, but had to stop in the middle of his talk as he was taken ill. The room was dreadfully hot and close. President Don North closed the meeting. Met for dinner at six o'clock with the Troop Committee of the Boys Scout Troops in the New Haven Council at City Mission hall on Orange Street. Adjourned at eight o'clock. Went back to the store and worked till 10-30. T.P.H., Sarah, and Miss Gehring (from the Bryan Hardware Co.) called for me and we all came home together. Ruth Curtiss Donovan birthday today.
