Saturday, May 12, 1928 Clear but very cool. Hard sharp wind blowing. T.P.H. has been busy locating a new home for Father and Mother Peck. She has found one out here on Skiff St., Hamden. Father, who is 86 years old, has finally consented to retire from work. Worked at the office till 5-30 P.M. Came out home on the trolly. Had dinner at home then drove in to see Violette and Clayton. This is their thirty second wedding anniversary. We took them over a gift. It is also Richmond Curtis twenty first birthday. He is at the University of Vermont. I wired him congratulations today and will write to him and send him a check tomorrow as a gift.
