Monday, May 14, 1928 Arose early. Had breakfast at the Hotel Kimball and went over to the Springfield store at 7-30 A.M. Mr. Robert Shaffer having resigned, Mr. Clarence Page came on as the new manager. We were there to take inventory of the stock and start them off all right. Had lunch and dinner at Hotel Kimball. Worked till about 10-30 and finished the inventory with the exception of a small section. Mr. Fitzpatrick and I took all the Wall Paper between 2 P.M. and 9-30 P.M.
