Thursday, November 8, 1928 Rained nearly all day today. Spoke for the Community Chest at Price and Lee's Printing Plant as Meadow Street near the corner of George. Tonight, T.P.H. and I went to the Yale Theatre to see a group of four one act plays put on by the students. They were all very fine. Sarah had a part in one called "Illusion". Violette and Mrs. Frank Smith went with us. Herbert Hoover continues to pile up more votes as the last votes are counted. He now has the largest popular vote as well as the largest electoral vote ever cast for a presidential candidate.
