Sunday, November 11, 1928 Fine all day long. This is "Armistice Day". Ten years ago today, the fighting in the World War stopped. Germany was ready to say "Enough" to the Allies. I went in to church and church school. Bud Wicks was here for the weekend so I stopped at the apartments on Howe Street for Dorothy Rawson and Mr. Stubbs, her fiancee. They were all here for dinner. Then the Newells came down from Springfield. Muriel and Phil are sailing Thursday for Copenhagen to take charge of the office there of a large advertising concern. Ed Cole also called and brought his father and mother. They were very nice. I drove in town and spoke at the Yale Hope Mission on Court Street near Olive Street.
