Tuesday, November 13, 1928 This has been a wonderful fall day. Clear and crisp. Went into the store early then started for Springfield store. Stopped here at the house and picked up Sarah and took her to her teaching assignment at the Oxford School, Hartford. Spent the day in Springfield then called for Sally in Hartford on my way back. She likes her work there very much. We had dinner at home then went on in town, Sarah to the Yale Theatre to do some work and I to our monthly store meeting. T.P.H. is suffering with a hard cold.
