Sunday, November 18, 1928 Still with the Davis' at Plainfield, N.J. Had a lovely breakfast that "Bee" provided. Then, cally took us for a ride around the city and showed some of the beautiful homes here. We later saw the house that they have just bought and hope to modernize. We think it will make them a lovely home. We had dinner with them then set sail for home. Cally piloted us as far as Springfield, N.J. We came home via Newark and Jersey City and through the new Holland Tunnel under the Hudson River. We got quite a thrill out of the fact that we were driving a car under the river. The toll charge was fifty cents, which goes to pay for the tunnel. We arrived in New Haven about ten o'clock and stopped at the Yale Theatre for Sally but as she had a lot more work to do, we came on home and to bed. We had a fine trip and are so pleased to find the Davis so happy. [Prev](1928_11_17.md) - [Next](1928_11_19.md) <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/d/1kputr61pUBKF7sThuq4jJFclBcjdMl22">
