Monday, November 19, 1928 Back to the office after a very pleasant weekend. Pretty tired this morning after the long drive. Very busy at the store in the Wall Paper Department today. Came home to dinner then as Sarah had to be at the Yale Theatre late rehearsing, I went back to the store and worked till late then went over to the theatre and waited for her. President Elect Herbert Hoover started today from his home at Palo Alto, California for a good will visit to the countries of Central and South America. Navy ship, "Maryland". American business men generally are pleased with this trip of Mr. Hoover as they see the beginning of more friendly relations with the people to the South of us.
