Friday, November 23, 1928 Clear and much colder today. Had a nice letter from Paul Gilbert today of York, Penn thanking us for giving his son Jack a good time over the West Point game. Six of the merchants of Broadway, including myself, acted as honorary pall bearers at the funeral of Mr. Curtiss of the firm of Curtiss Peerpont Co. He was 86 years old. Came home to dinner tonight and Sally suggested that we go to the Schubert Theatre to see Ethel Barrymore play. So we drove in town for that purpose. The city is filling up rapidly with out of town cars for the Yale-Harvard game tomorrow.
