Went down to the Armory later to a party given by the Active Company to Captain Frederick W. Halloway, retiring Captain. Sarah called for me and brought me home. Eleanor Effler of Dana Hall Schools and a classmate of Sally's came today for Thanksgiving. We are so glad to have her. President Elect Herbert Hoover arrived at Puntas Arenas, Costa Rica at 8-30 this morning on his good will mission to the Central and South American countries. Later he went by train to San Jose, the capital, where he was received by President Cleto Gonzales Viquez.
