Up good and early this morning and right after breakfast, started for Lenox, Mass. to the Conclave of the 30th District Rotary Clubs. We left home at 8-30 and arrived at the Hotel Aspinwall at 11 o'clock, making 91 miles from in two and a half hours. It was a gorgeous trip up. The weather was warm and balmy. I drove all the way without an overcoat. The foliage was just turning and it was altogether lovely. We met many old friends here and are making new ones. Bob and Midg Chandler came on from New London. Ches Perry, secretary of Rotary International of Chicago was our special guest and speaker. After the dinner, we danced in the ballroom till midnight.
