At Hotel Aspinwall, Lenox, Mass. Last day of 30th District Rotary Conclave. Had breakfast altogether and enjoyed a fine program by the Springfield Club. After breakfast, we said goodby to all of our Rotary friends - Bill Root, the Bert Brewers, the George Coopers, Al Calvins, Al Lavey, District Governor Jim Gun, and Mrs. Gun, and drove down home in the Packard, which never skipped a beat. Made the 90 odd miles in three hours, which is fast enough. It was a delightful trip down. The foliage all in Autumn colors that were gorgeous. Drove in town and called at the Yale Theatre for Sally and we went out to the Yale-Maine game. Yale won 27 to 0 but Maine played a plucky game and came within an ace of scoring. Went in to the office and worked till 10-30 clearing up my desk after being away for two days.
