Arose at 6 o'clock and Sarah took T.P.H. and I to the station to start for Niagara Falls and the Fall meeting of the National Wall Paper Wholesalers Association. We came via New York so as to have a day light trip up the Hudson River. Left New Haven at 8:05. Had about an hour to wait in New York then we took the 11:00 o'clock train for Buffalo. It was a wonderful trip up the Hudson and across New York State to Buffalo. The sunshine was brilliant and the foliage in the Autumn colorings just beautiful. We had lunch and dinner on the train. We arrived at Buffalo at (nine) 9:00 P.M. Took another train for Niagara Falls at 9-45. Arrived here at 10-45. Very tired but quite happy. This is a fine hotel, built but four years ago. We can hear the roar of the Niagara Falls from our room. The New York Americans won again from St. Louis making three straight games in this World Series - 7 to 4.
