Sunday, October 14, 1928 A beautiful day again today. I went in town to church and church school. Brought Mr. Alvareg out to dinner with me. He is doing special work at the Yale Divinity School and is helping Mr. Camp at the church. He and I took a long walk over the Ridge Road. Came back to the house and found Jack and Mary Dyer here at the house. Started our furnace again tonight. It had been out since last week, Friday, October fifth, when we left for Lenox, Mass.
