Warm and muggy today. George Hanbury at the store today showing us his new "Sundura" line of sun fast papers also Mr. Valentine of the Baeck Wall Paper Co. showing us the Muralia line. Meeting at 5 P.M. of the New Haven Council of Boys Scouts. Carl Northrop, scout executive, made his camp report showing that this year we had the largest attendance of any year. Sarah had to work at the Yale Theatre so I took her in and I worked at the office till eleven o'clock then called for her and brought her home. The "Graf Zeppelin", the first passenger airship from Germany to America, landed at Lakehurst, N.J. today. On its arrival, it sailed over New York, Philadelphia, and Washington. It carried 20 passengers and a crew of 40. Its flying time was 111 hours from Friedrichshafen to Lakehurst.
