Wednesday, October 17, 1928 At Northampton, Mass. Breakfast here at the Hotel Northampton. Called on our customer, J. Hugh Pierce in Northampton. While in the store, Lota Curtiss, who is a freshman at Smith College, called in to see me. She had seen my car outside and recognized the numbers. She looked fine and is very happy. Drove on to Springfield and spent the day at the Springfield store. Had lunch at the Hotel Kimball and drove on home and had dinner at home.
