Friday, October 19, 1928 T.P.H. brought the Packard in town and left it for me tonight. Worked till eight o'clock then went down to Calvary Baptist Church House to a Trustees Meeting. We checked all the bills contracted in connection with the repairs and redecorating, new lights, etc, etc and out of an appropriate of $15,000.00, we finished the work for a little less than $14,500.00. I called for Sarah at the Yale Drama School and we came home together in a pouring rain.
