A beautiful day, bright and not to cool. We all drove in town this morning. Sarah to a rehearsal at the Yale Theatre, I to Calvary Church, and T.P.H. to St. Paul's. Sally called for me after church school and we had dinner at home and Grant Noble from New York and Mary Francis Stout from the Yale Drama School. I worked in the garden this afternoon and gathered the carrots and beets that were left in the ground. Violette and Clayton called this afternoon. They are rather lonely with all the children away.
