A beautiful day for the game. Clear and cold. Jack Gilbert of York, Penna here with us. After breakfast, we drove in town to the office then went down to the New Haven Green and waited for the West Point cadets to arrive. They came up from the station via State Street to Chapel Street to the Green. They gave a short drill there then marched to the Yale Dining Hall to lunch. Jack and I had lunch at the Quinnipiack Club then went up to Tower Parkway and waited for T.P.H. and Sally. We all met there and drove out to the Yale Bowl for the game. The cadets marched out to the Bowl and gave a short drill before the game. The game, well, it was not to our liking. They were far too powerful for Yale and they won 18 to 6. Cagle made two beautiful runs for West Point, scoring touchdowns each time.
