Saturday, September 1, 1928 Another wonderful Summer day. Cool and delightful. We closed at one and I came out home to lunch then T.P.H. dressed up in our best and drove down to Westport, Conn. to Cornelia Coley's wedding. The service was in the Episcopal Church and the reception at the home. A beautiful spot. The young people received in the house and the refreshments were served out on lawn. We drove back and I stopped at the Armory and met my committee there and we mailed out the notices for the New Haven Grays 112th Anniversary, Sunday the 9th, and Thursday the 13th. Jon Hedge brought me home afterwards. Miss Ruth Mundie terminated her service as my secretary today. She did this to make room for Miss Bowwens, who has now returned from the Wellingford Sanitarium and needs her job back.
