Monday, September 3, 1928 Rained hard all night and up to early afternoon. Poured torrents most of the time. Read most of the morning then picked some corn and tomatoes and took them into Violette. Richmond is home but in bed today. He has progressed in splendid shape. The rain stopped long enough for me to cut the grass on the new terrace on the Meadowbrook Road frontage also hoe the last planting of sweet corn. To bad Labor Day should have been such a bad day.
