Wednesday, September 5, 1928 Very cool this morning. Thermometer down to 58°, which is a welcome change from the temperature of above 90° a few days ago. T.P.H. is up in Vermont so I arose at the usual hour in an unusual quiet and after feeding the black cat Mitzi, hied myself in town to some breakfast. Had lunch at the Quinnipiack Club and visited the Calvary Church, were the painters and decorators are finishing up the work, and the Bradley and Hubbard Co. of Meriden are installing the new lights. Worked tonight till seven o'clock then went down to the Olympia Theatre to the movies.
