Looked clear this morning but it soon clouded over and is raining again tonight. The state Republican Convention was held in New Haven today at the Hyperion Theatre on Chapel Street. The following nominations were made:
For U.S. Senator Frederick C. Walcott
For Governor John H. Trumbull
For Lt. Governor Ernest E. Rogers
For Secy of State Dr. William L. Higgins
For Treasurer Samuel R. Spencer
George Hanbury was a delegate from Newington. He introduced me to Gov. Trumbull. In thinking over the arrangements that we made with the Lloyd people in New York yesterday, I feel that it is the biggest thing that we have ever done in the Wall Paper business and we hope that it will mean a huge success for us.
