Our usual beautiful day as it is the 112th Anniversary of the New Haven Grays. Sally took me in to the Armory on Meadow Street in time to leave for church. Our church service this year was held with the First Methodist Church, corner of Elm and College Streets. The Rev. Franklin J. Kennedy preached the anniversary sermon. We had a good attendance of about sixty actives and seventy five veterans. Charles McClelland, John Gill, and I had dinner at "The Tavern" on Church Street then reported at the Armory to proceed to the cemeteries. We used the Foot Guard Band this year and they gave us good music. We marched to Grave Street Cemetery and afterwards to Evergreen decorating graves of veterans. In going from Grove Street to Evergreen, we marched through the Grove Street extension for the first time. Auntie "B", Claire, Harthon, Billy, and Lota Curtiss called.

(I'm assuming that "Billy" is Harry Leon Bill Jr. here but I haven't been able to prove it. This is also supported by the visit to Syracuse on [10/10/1928](1928_10_10.md))
