Cloudy and showery today but we went through with our Broadway Celebration that was postponed from yesterday on account of the rain. The first event was the dedication of the Grove Street extension to be known for ever as the "Tower Parkway" in honor of Ex Mayor John B. Tower, now deceased, who was the inoperation for this improvement. The Honorable Philip Troup was the speaker and Mayor Thos Tully presented the park to Charles S. Longley, president of the Broadway Association. The evening celebration took place on Broadway and consisted of a concert by Christ Church Chrimes, a band concert by the Foot Gaurd Band, speaches by Mayor Tully, President C.S. Longley, and Henneth Wynne, then dancing by the young people. The committee and speakers had a dinner at Mary's on York Street.
