Saturday, September 29, 1928 Very cold again this morning and we have stood it as long as we could so we started a fire in the furnace this afternoon. This is the earliest that we have ever started our fires since we began house keeping. Closed the store at one today. This is our last closing day for the Summer. T.P.H. and I attended the wedding of Helen Dotten this afternoon at Calvary Church and the reception afterwards at Hawley's house. We then raced home and changed our clothes and went out to the Edgewood Club to supper. Sarah was with us. Afterwards Pete Barker, Ed Cole, and Dorothy Rawson came out and danced.
