Monday, April 8, 1929 It has been another scorcher today, thermometer well up in the 80's. We slept last night with but a sheet over us and will do the same tonight I guess. Drove down to Norwalk to the luncheon of the Norwalk Rotary Club. Took George Gould down with me as the speaker of the day. He gave them a fine talk on "Programs". It was a lovely ride down and back, only very hot. Tonight, I drive over to Ansonia to the First Baptist Church and talked to the men who are to go out on their "Every Members Canvass". T.P.H. Aunt Belle spent the day here today. She is now living at the Odd Fellows Home at Groton.
