Thursday, April 11, 1929 Mr. Chamberlain, Mr. Marks, and I went down to New York on the eight o'clock train to visit the W.H.S. Lloyd Co. for the day. We walked up Fifth Ave to Forty Eighth Street enjoying the store windows. Mr. Lloyd, Mr. Danler, and Mr. Dunn were there to meet us and showed us every attention. They went over the new wallpapers with us and we selected many sample rolls to have in New Haven and came up home on the 4-25 train, Mr. Chamberlain getting off at Bridgeport. I had dinner at home and spent the evening working on church school records.
