Monday, April 22, 1929 Rained again today up to about five o'clock. Drove down to Norwalk to have lunch with the Norwalk Rotary Club. This is their Charter Night and I have been helping them organize it. This afternoon, I called on four of our customers in Norwalk. The Charter Night was this evening. Dinner at seven o'clock and the exercises followed. We had about 250 Rotarians from all parts of the 30th District. District Governor James Gunn of Turners Falls presented the charter. Jim Thewing of the New Haven Club presented the Code of Ethics. Past District Governor Al Lavery spoke and Don Adams made the address of the evening. The Norwalk Club presented me with a beautiful leather traveling bag and file combined. It was just so wonderful of them. I was so happy that the whole thing went off so nicely.
