Tuesday, April 30, 1929 Bright beautiful day but with a cold wind. Rotary at noon at the Hotel Taft. Mrs. Roth, assistant city attorney and in charg eof the Court of Domestic Relations, was the speaker. Went to Dr. Smiley for a last whack at my teeth for a while. Came home tonight early, five o'clock, and dug a ditch parallel to our North line to drain off the surface water. Sarah went to Hartford to her classes at the Oxford School on the train. Our Packard is at the Packard Service Station having a Spring "go-over". She is in town tonight at the Yale Drama School doing some work.
