Thursday, August 1, 1929 At the Commodore Hotel, New York, Wall Paper Convention. Very hot again today. Had breakfast with Bob Beals then looked at the York Wall Paper Co. line. Afterwards, went through Allen Higgins line before lunch. I attended lunch with the New York Rotary Club here at the Commodore. Looked at the Hobbs Wall Paper Co. line this afternoon, Mr. Hanbury showing it. Afterwards up to see Paul Gilberts line and a visit with Jack Gilbert. Mr. Marks left for home at six o'clock. Mr. Chamberlain and i hope to finished tomorrow. Had dinner with George Hanbury at Alice Foot McDougal's then went to see the "New Moon" show. It was very wonderful. Sarah is twenty-five years old today and she is spending it in England with our Aunt and cousins.
