Monday, August 5, 1929 Still no rain and every thing is burning up. Water is getting scarce in the lakes. Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Broadway Association this afternoon. Voted and I appointed a committee to arrange a welcome to the Yale students when they shall return next September. This is to do with the relocating of a good many business houses on Broadway on account of the tearing down of the stores on Elm Street between High and York. Those moving to the Broadway sector are Whitlocks Yale Co-op Store, Brick Row Book Shop, and many others.
