Saturday, August 10, 1929 Very hot all day. Showers started tonight. We need it badly. Mr. Chamberlain and I worked till 4-30 selecting Wall Paper although the store closed at one o'clock. Came home and had dinner. George Cooper of Pittsfield called us up and told us that he and Mrs. Cooper were at the Hotel Taft for the night. T.P.H. and I drove in and visited with them for a while.
